Enhancing Biogas Efficiency at Thermax Sangrur Bio-Gas Plant Using Nanobubble Technology

At the Thermax Bio-Gas Plant in Sangrur, Punjab, high oxygen consumption was a major challenge in the micro-aerobic digestion of rice straw, making the process energy-intensive and expensive. To improve efficiency, Nanokriti integrated the Virat N500 Nanobubble Generator into the existing system. By delivering oxygen more effectively at the microbial level, the technology significantly improved the digestion process while reducing daily oxygen consumption from 2,000 kg to just 200 kg. This not only lowered operating costs but also enhanced microbial activity and overall plant performance. The project demonstrates how nanobubble technology can help biogas plants improve efficiency, reduce resource consumption, and make agricultural waste-to-energy production more sustainable.
